About ParacleteMusic®

Paraclete

noun, m.

From Old French Paraclet; from Late Latin Paraclet

from Ancient Greek, transliterated: Parakletos,“called to help, helper”;

from para,“beside” + kaleo, “I call”

—A term whose potentially broad original meaning in Greek can be paraphrased as

“an advocate, intercessor, helper; one called to come alongside to provide appropriate aid.”

In John 14 of the Holy Bible, Jesus Christ promises his disciples that, at his request, the Father will send them the Holy Spirit who will be to them another “Paraclete” teaching truth that brings change from the inside out.

As it has been my long-term desire to model my teaching after the patient but diligent example of the Holy Spirit; so it is the purpose of ParacleteMusic to come alongside the aspiring musician—both student and teacher—to help and guide, inspire and admonish, comfort and encourage, bring to remembrance, provide a mirror, and always to provoke to excellence.

Soli Deo Gloria,
